Saturday, January 29th
Today I ran 10 100s on Washington street with 100m rest. Muscles felt good but I had some nausea related to congestion. I got steroids to clear up my nose and should be feeling better by the meet.
Friday, January 28th
Today I did a B+ run with Nina and Joseph, running past Wellesley College to pond street and then heading back to forest street and the high school. the run lasted 62 minutes with some trouble due to slippery sidewalks or lack thereof.
Thursday, January 27th
Today the meet was cancelled due to snow, so I did a tempo run, as was posted on the blog. Ran for 65 minutes, 5 up, with 15 hard and 15 easy two times.

Tuesday, January 25th
Fartleks today. Ran with Sarah, Nina, and Brennan over by Hardy School and Perrin Park. Was a 68 minute run with 16 3o on 30 off fartleks. My calves were hurting a little bit today, also some nausea. Felt better when I got back to the high school.
Monday, January 24th
Today was VERY cold. But also a good workout. Ran nine 200s on Washington St. at 32, 32, 33, 33, 34, 36, 36, 37, 37, and then had to stop because my stomach was not feeling well. Been rather congested lately, but it seems to be clearing up.

Thursday, January 20th
Race against Natick. Ran a 3:31 1000m. Had troubles with splits because the clock wasn't working, so I had a hard time judging how fast I was running.
Wednesday, January 19th
Today we did canadians in the science hall as our pre-race workout. Ran 15 up and down, and felt good throughout the workout. Only felt a small pain in my hip flexor after doing drum majors, but it went away quickly.
Tuesday, January 18th
Today practice was cancelled because of poor conditions, so I completed the workout I missed on Monday (because I was visiting grandparents) on my treadmill and ran 4 200s at mile pace (43 seconds), 4 200s at 800 pace (38 seconds) and 4 200s at 400 pace (36 seconds).

Friday, January 14th
Today was a long run after the meet, and I ran 30 minutes with Nina Sevilla, Chris Lu, and Turner Russel. Was going to run 90, but had to run 30 more minutes inside, do strides, and leave so I could make it to work by 5PM.

Thursday, January 13th
Race Day yet again. Ran the mile for the first time in my life and actually felt good. Due to a counting error, I lost track of what lap I was on and timed my kick incorrectly. Nevertheless, I ran a 5:56 which is a good start. 15 up and then cooled down with Andrew Griswold and John Williamson on the Longwood Loop. Who knew so many hospitals and colleges could be in such close proximity!

SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Didn't run, but figured sledding counted as hills.
Tuesday, January 11th
Today was a tough workout at Babson which consisted of 8 200s interrupted by a jogged 400 between each sprint. My times were very consistent: 34, 34, 34, 34, 35, 34, 34, 33. I felt really good and was running as fast or faster than all of the others there. 15 up and 15 down, naturally.
Monday, January 10th
B run today with Joseph Mears, Ben Griswold, and Turner Russel on Blue Arrow trail. Athough I would rather not run Blue Arrow trail so many times in such a short span, I discovered that the freshman only knew one trail (Waban) and felt the need to enlighten them. It was a good 46:00 run and could have been longer but they were all recovering from the Freshman/Sophomore meet on Sunday (which I regrettably missed due to an all day church retreat). We finished with six strides in the parking lot.
Saturday, January 8th
Today was a very hard workout but I think i completed quite well, starting off with a warmup with the two Kevins and proceeding to run 6 400s at 79,80,81,83,84,84. We then headed over to Corda Hill and did ten hills which felt great and exponentially better than any hills I ran last year. This was all followed by a rather painful 15 minute cool down.
Friday, January 7th
Today was just a B run so I ran reverse blue arrow trail with Chris, Kevin, and Will Lull. We ran for about 52:00 in less than ideal conditions (due to ice and crusty snow). Nevertheless my legs felt fine and I was recovering nicely from my race
Thursday, January 6th
Race Day! (15 up and 12 down) Ran the 600 at Reggie Lewis today and my time was a 1:54. It wasn't a PR and I wasn't very happy about it, despite the fact that speed phase has just begun and I didn't even come in last. Oh well. There is room to improve.
Wednesday, January 5th
Today the team did pre-race sprint drills. Felt good and we didn't have to do lunges or scissor jumps, which is always a treat. Form fells good and I am excited for the 600.
Tuesday, January 4th
65 minute run plus 6 strides
Ran with NIna and Rachel today down the aqueduct, around Wellesley College, and then looped past the high school where nina and I stopped to do strides. I ran the strides longer than usual, but they felt good.
Monday, January 3rd
Today we ran at Babson and did 3 sets of 200s at 800 pace, 300s at 1k pace, and 400s at mile pace. After a 15 minute warmup to Babson I was feeling pretty good. I ran these with Turner Russel, Nick Peretti, and Will Lull. Throughout the workout I was right behind them except for on the last 3, where I beat them all. Forgot my watch, so i have no times for the day. Fiinished up with a 15 minute cooldown back.

Thursday, December 30th
Today we took the bus to reggie and ran 18-20 200s. My goal pace was 39 seconds, and for two thirds of the 200s I ran at or below that pace, but some I ran at a 42. (my range in times was 37 to 42 seconds)
Wednesday, December 29th
Today we did Canadians at the high school. We ran indoors in the math hallway, and everything was looking good. Also ran 15 up and 15 down
Tuesday, December 28th
Today the team ran 400 repeats on Washington Street. I had trouble breathing, so I only ran 5 instead of the 8-10 we were assigned.
Thursday, December 23rd
Today the team ran Temple Hill. I felt nauseous on the hill, so i only ran it about 5 times. I also had a serious headache during my cooldown, and according to Coach Chisum, I looked "gray". Not the best practice.
Wednesday, December 22nd
B+ Run with Kevin Bu, Chris Lu, and Ryan Chan. Ran the Blue Arrow Trail for an hour ad finished up with 6 strides in the parking lot. According to Kevin, we ran about 7.5 miles.
Tuesday, December 21st
Last circuits! This time indoors, we did four sets and I was feeling good. I am way stronger than the beginning of the season, since we did all of the exercises for much longer and I could complete them better.
Saturday, December 18th
We went to Elm bank today and did hill drills. This time I ran them without the strides, and though I was not tired in the sense that I was out of breath, my muscles (particularly my calves) were very sore the next day.
Friday, December 17th
B+ Run with the freshman boys. Feeling fine after the meet, we ran Waban. It took about an hour, only because freshman love breaks. Afterwards, we finished with six strides on the track.
Thursday, December 16th
1ST MEET! Ran a 3:35 1000. (PRed) Got stuck behind some Dedham kids and didn't pass them soon enough.
